Organizational Structure

NCKU president will assign a professor or scholar of humanities and social sciences to be engaged as the director of Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS), who is responsible for overseeing and supervising all CHASS affairs. Three sections have been established to facilitate the effective execution of CHASS' duties. The duties of each section are as follows:

‧ Administration section
This section is responsible for administrative affairs, the management of CHASS official website, and the release of information regarding CHASS’ activities and research results.

‧ Research and Education Section
This section is responsible for planning and developing research communities, enabling research and teaching capacities in relevant fields, cultivating young scholars and promoting interdisciplinary academic development

‧ Social Practice Section
This section is responsible for integrating research resources with other available domestic resources, executing research projects and teachings related to University Social Responsibility (USR), as well as promoting cooperation and academic exchange between the university and domestic and foreign institutions related to humanities and social sciences.

Director of CHASS will assign assistant professors and above to engage as the coordinators of each section. In addition, Director of CHASS can hire relevant humanities and social science instructors, researchers, and staff to execute the affairs of CHASS if needed.
