國立成功大學考古學研究所規劃「國際南島考古學校」,於2025年8月在新北市貢寮仁里遺址進行考古發掘,就東亞海域貿易陶瓷考古相關議題進行國際合作研究,探討14世紀以降北海岸原住民舊社聚落如何參與福州、臺灣與琉球與先島群島的海上交換網絡。活動型態以考古實地學校(archaeological field school)為主進行,預計8/1~8/9為期九天。活動內容包括考古調查、發掘實作以及專題研討。本活動目標一方面提供紮實的基礎考古學田野訓練,二則促進國際學生的互動交流與文化理解,並提供學習臺灣南島文化以及原住民文化遺產的傳承與永續。
(一)活動一

The International Field School on Austronesian Archaeology Registration Prospectus
1. Introduction
“The International Field School on Austronesian Archaeology” (August 2025), organized by the Institute of Archaeology at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), will conduct excavation at Renli site in Gongliao. This program is integrated into the Taiwan-Japan cooperative research project on ceramics archaeology approach, which aims to explore the integration of indigenous Formosans on Taiwan northern coasts into East Asian maritime trade and exchange networks connecting Fuzhou, Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, and the Sakishima Islands from the 14th century onward.
The archaeological field school program will be held between August 1st and August 9th. We will provide fieldwork training, including archaeological surveys and excavation practice at the Renli archaeological site, related thematic seminars, and field trip to visit local museums. The program does not offer academic credits, while the Institute of Archaeology will provide certificates of 54 hours practices, equivalent to 3 credits, for international students after accomplishment, which may be used for credit recognition at their home institutions.
The program includes three primary objectives:
- To provide essential training on archaeological fieldwork.
- To foster mutual interaction and cultural appreciations across nations.
- To advance understanding on Austronesian cultures in Taiwan and sustainability of indigenous heritages.
